Duties and Responsibilities
Teach all or part of new one-year graduate course series in Marine Biology that includes a comprehensive survey of marine orgranisms, ocean and reef environments, ecological processes and current impacts on marine systems.
The laboratory component will include excercises in open ocean sampling, inshore reef surveys, and molecular biology applications.
The successful candidate will work with existing Biology faculty to develop and implement these new graduate courses which are under development.
Minimum Qualifications
A completed Ph.D. in Biology, Oceanography, Marine Biology, or related field.
Documented research achievements, publications and teaching excellence.
Poise and good address for meeting and conferring with others.
Desirable Qualifications
One year of post-doctoral experience.
An active research program.
Familiarity with Hawaiian biota.
