A tenure-track, Regular Title Series Assistant Professor of Arts Administration (academic home to be determined by degree area in the College of Fine Arts) beginning August 2013.
Job Responsibilities listed below for the Arts Administration Program:
-Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses as assigned.
-Serve as the Director of Undergraduate Studies.
-Supervise student practicums and internships.
-Supervise/serve on graduate capstone project committees.
-Advise undergraduate & graduate students each semester as assigned.
-The faculty member is required to continually practice, expand, field, test and/or disseminate his/her professional expertise through traditional research related to arts administration, online pedagogy and/or other new instructional techniques, and creative.
-Indicators of a national reputation for professional expertise in Arts Administration include consultancies, board membership, periodical publication, grey literature publication, conference presentations, scholarly publication and/or creative work (see Evidences for the Evaluation of Faculty in Cases of Promotion and Tenure, Arts Administration for full description).
-Participate in course & program-level assessment processes.
-Serve on the graduate admissions review committee.
-Assist in the Program's administration through activities such as recruiting students, participating in curriculum development & revisions, preparing evaluative reports, developing new undergraduate and graduate degree options, & raising awareness of the Program's activities.
-Serve on committees for the College and University & provide advice & support to nonprofit arts organizations and related organizations in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and beyond, as requested.
-Assume other duties as assigned.

The appointee will meet the following criteria for teaching, research, and service:
Hold a minimum of a terminal degree in arts administration or equivalent. Minimum three (3) years college-level teaching experience. Evidence of ongoing research, scholarly and creative activities in the field. Minimum three (3) years professional experience as an arts administrator. Ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment.
