The School of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of North Dakota is recruiting for a full-time, 12-month appointment, tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the newly created Graduate Program in Public Health in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, which offers the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree through North Dakota MPH. Candidates must have an earned, relevant doctoral degree and demonstrated expertise in health services research, health outcomes research, or population health research. A strong background in research methods, and statistics are required.The position requires teaching quantitative research courses in the MPH program, mentoring students, and playing an active role in the development of the MPH program, particularly the Population Health Research & Evaluation specialization. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to establish an independent research program that contributes to the mission of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences through the outcomes research initiative, with 50% effort devoted to contracts with a large, regional insurance company to design comparative effectiveness and other policy-related studies, analyze large longitudinal data sets including claims data, and publish academic articles, policy briefs, and reports.
