Assistant Professor
The Department of Physics & Astronomy of Western Kentucky University (WKU) invites applications for a tenure track position in the area of Experimental Materials/Condensed matter Physics. WKU is forming a university wide initiative in the area of materials -nanoscience and nanotechnology of which this position will be associated (details at This position includes a start up package and opportunities for strong graduate and undergraduate research engagement.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related discipline, a strong desire to teach and mentor students at all levels, post doctoral experience is required, and should have demonstrated the potential to conduct a vigorous and significant research program.
