The College of Public Health at the University of Georgia invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Department of Health Policy and Management. The College of Public Health promotes health in human populations through innovative research, exemplary education, and engaged service dedicated to preventing disease and injury within the state and around the world. We seek candidates who are at the assistant professor level. The successful candidate will assume a key role in developing the curriculum in both health policy and health management for the department, in addition to expanding the College’s research portfolio in health services research, health administration, access to and delivery of care, and health outcomes.

Qualifications:
Applicants should have an advanced degree (PhD, MD, DrPH or other relevant health professional degree) in health services research, sociology, public policy, or a related discipline. Students in the final stages of degree completion will be considered, but the terminal degree must be conferred by August 1st, 2013. The successful applicant must possess expertise in one or more of the fields mentioned. Teaching experience as the instructor of record for at least one course in a Department that includes courses in Health Management, Health Services Research and Health Policy is preferred. A promising record or potential for future accomplishment in research, and practical application of health services management and policy implementation in the health field is desired.
