The Department of Mathematical Sciences at Salve Regina University invites applications for a tenure track position in Mathematics at the Assistant Professor level starting in Fall 2013. Applications are especially encouraged from those with research interests in mathematics education at the secondary and /or undergraduate levels.
In addition to teaching mathematics at all levels and supporting the preparation of teachers of mathematics at the secondary education, duties include student advisement and committee service for the department and the University.
Candidates must have either an earned doctorate in Mathematics Education with a Master's Degree in Mathematics OR a Ph.D. in Mathematics with a record of involvement in Mathematics Education.
The successful candidate is expected to engage in research and scholarship with publications in peer-reviewed journals, and/or grant activity, and to participate in university service and university outreach programs. In addition, candidates must have the ability to integrate the use of technology, as appropriate, into all courses.
