The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Mathematics. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty position. Start date beginning August 2014.
Teaching load will consist of statistics and other mathematics classes and possibly C++ programming. Excellence in teaching is a priority; service and scholarship are required as well. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)
Ph.D. (or evidence of completion prior to start date) in mathematics, statistics, or related field required. The successful candidate is expected to be committed to innovative undergraduate teaching and mentoring, to communicate effectively in a classroom setting, and be willing to serve the department, University, and wider community in a manner consistent with the mission of the University.
Desired Education/Experience/Skills (Additional Qualifications)
Preference will be given to candidates who can teach C++ programming in addition to statistics. Successful teaching experience in statistics and/or mathematics is desirable as is willingness to work with undergraduates on research.
