We seek a natural science faculty member to join our dynamic Natural Science department at the Assistant Professor rank.
The Natural Science Department is seeking a candidate whose primary teaching responsibilities will include teaching Introductory Biology with cellular emphasis, Introductory Chemistry, and possibly Human Anatomy and Physiology.
Qualifications: A doctoral degree in a natural science or science education is preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and management skills are critical. A working understanding of the nature of specific learning disabilities in a classroom setting is desirable, and teaching experience at the college level is highly desirable. Evidence of scholarship in the field, particularly in terms of research programs that can involve undergraduate students, is highly desirable. Other desirable characteristics include familiarity with principles of universal design for instruction and learning, working as part of a team, and grant proposal development. The start date for the position is Fall, 2013.
