The University of Southern Maine seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the School of Social Work. The School of Social Work prepares undergraduate students in generalist social work practice and graduate students in advanced social work.

Qualifications: Required: MSW degree and a Ph.D./D.S.W. in social work or related discipline by the time of appointment on September 1, 2013. Demonstrated ability to teach across BSW and MSW programs, particularly in the curriculum areas of social policy and macro practice. A minimum of two years full-time equivalent, post-MSW practice. Preferred: Interest in teaching research. Evidence of commitment to diversity, student success and active learning, and community engagement. Salary and benefits are competitive and dependent on prior experience.
