The Department of Biology at Rhodes College seeks qualified applicants for a three-year renewable faculty position as a laboratory instructor and administrator to begin in August of 2014. Candidates must have a Ph.D. (Assistant Professor appointment) or an M.S. (Instructor appointment) in a field of biology and a strong interest in engaging students at the undergraduate level. The person who fills this position normally will teach six introductory-level lab sections per year covering cellular and organismic topics and serve as administrator of the labs. This includes coordinating the work of other lab instructors, managing course websites and materials, and working with staff who prepare the labs. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work with other faculty members in developing new laboratory exercises.
