Intricate Responsibilities ~ Brief Overview :
Under minimal supervision, provides support to Procurement staff
Assists in the mining and analyzing of data. Designs, specifies, implements, and maintains automated and manual processes in support of business reporting needs and/or corporate strategy. Independently prepares presentations
Familiar with commodity classifications. Fosters active daily use of continuous improvement tools to improve HS&E, quality, delivery, financial performance, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction
Conducts all business activities in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and Legal Compliance requirements
Responsible for directing and coordinating the procurement of materials, components, supplies and services essential to the operation of the entity. May have responsibilities for worldwide purchases
Oversees moderately complex procurement projects and activities
Drives cost reduction initiatives across the procurement organization and root cause corrective action plans to improve quality
Responsible for supplier compliance and performance against established contracts and processes
Proposes and implements improvements to procurement policies

Critical Requirements :
6+ years’ related experience in procurement
Bachelor degree in supply chain, manufacturing engineering or related field
Additional certifications a plus
Experience managing manufacturing operations, preferably purchasing operations
Strong knowledge of lean principles and process-based investigative approaches and solutions
Ability to work projects independently and with minimal guidance – project management
Experience presenting to senior levels of management
Ability to multi-task
Energetic self starter
SAP knowledge and experience required ·
Strong analytical skills
Strong negotiation and contract skills
Professional demeanor and communication skills
Energetic and willingness to share opinions and challenge existing practices
Ability to coach and mentor
