This is a calendar year, non-tenure track position, limited to 12/31/2014, with extension contingent on funding.
Perform research projects and lead students and research assistants in the area of lithium ion batteries; identify and perform research projects in consultation with the Principal Investigator; lead non-aqueous electrolyte studies; cary out experiments in chemistry, electrochemistry, and materials science; maintain battery cyclers; supervise graduate students and research assistants, prepare papers for publications, perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

1) A Ph.D. in Chemistry, material science, or related field.
2) A minimum of three years of professional experience in electrochemistry or material science.
3) A demonstrated record of publications.
4) Demonstrated experience with the following instrumentation and techniques: XPS, SEM, FT-IR, EIS, CV, DFT calculations, synthesis, glove box usage, Schlenk techniques.
