To assist with management of all land development field operations including: assisting superintendents, assistant superintendents and contractors to provide for installation of landscaping and infrastructure (roads, sanitary sewer, water mains, storm water management systems, dry utilities, etc.) and demolition and preparation of home sites to provide quality housing for soldiers and their families meeting quality and time requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field. Heavy construction contractor's license/certificate(s) desirable. Travel is required less than 10% of the time. Knowledge of scheduling (software e.g.: Primavera) and project management systems, Word, Excel. Ability to read and provide value engineering comments on civil engineering drawings. Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local land development construction codes and regulations (e.g. OSHA, SWPPP/erosion control requirements, hazardous materials, construction standards, etc.). Knowledge of estimating, cost control, scheduling, and project management. Trained in basic hazardous materials awareness, recognition, proper handling, and disposal or abatement procedures. Posses excellent communication skills (written and oral); ability to multitask, positive team oriented attitude; detail oriented, ability to manage contractors (site, hazardous material and landscape) and be capable of handling customer service calls as needed and other duties as directed. Exposure to hazardous materials is possible (e.g. fuels, concrete, chemicals, demolition waste products, etc.).
2+ years experience in a combination of civil engineering design, community development construction management/supervision, surveying, land planning or architecture, site/heavy construction and estimating.
