One Hope United is a social service child welfare agency that serves more than 15,000 children and their families in four states. Although there are countless child welfare agencies across theUnited States, very few organizations are able to offer the diverse array of prevention, intervention, and community-based programs and services available through OHU.
Degree Type/Area: AA in Child Development preferred or 30 hours of college coursework with at least 15 hours in ECE
Experience: One year
Bi-lingual – Spanish Speaking is a plus
Assist the teacher with day to day activities.
Provide substitute coverage when teachers are absent.
Ability to work with children from 2-12 years of age.
Support the planning and implemetnation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children 2 years of age in a classroom setting.
The ability to work as a team member and to demonstrate flexibility, cooperation, and good communication skills is required in both English and Chinese.
Actively be involved with children.
Communicate with parents.
Help make sure the classroom is clean and safe at all times.
Be able to fully participate in all activities, including continuous supervision and interaction with children outdoors for extended periods of time, weather permitting (25 – 90 degrees F).
Be able to respond immediately to multiple or unexpected situations and emergencies.
