The University of Dayton, a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference is seeking candidates for Assistant Tennis Coach – Intern. This coaching position will assist the head coach in organizing, recruiting, preparing and conducting practices, training/workouts and coordinating team travel. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in all aspects of coaching student-athletes and a commitment to the highest ideals of leadership, sportsmanship and academics. This is a full time, 12 month internship with benefits and an option for a one year renewal. The UD Athletics Internship Program is designed to expose the highly-motivated individual to all aspects of a Division I athletic program. Strong performers have the opportunity to be considered for permanent positions within the division if and when they become available. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or three plus years of collegiate coaching experience

Advanced knowledge and technical skills of tennis,

Demonstrated written communications.

Must be able to travel and work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed by the program.

Valid driver’s license with less than six points.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a Division I collegiate tennis student-athlete;

Experience teaching young adults;

Committed desire to learn to coach in an intercollegiate environment.

Demonstrated verbal communication skills

Work Hours
Hours will vary. Some evening, weekend and holiday hours will be required.
