The Assistant University Registrar coordinates the Registrar's Office efforts in the certification of NCAA eligibility of student athletes. Trains department staff in NCAA eligibility monitoring and will supervise, train and evaluate Office of the Registrar staff responsible for academic and athletic compliance.
Will be responsible to audit transcripts and plans of study to determine undergraduate student's compliance or non-compliance with University and School/College degree requirements and University regulations. Keeps informed of University and NCAA by-laws, policies, rules, and regulations that pertain to degree requirements.
Monitors, maintains, and issues degree audit advisement evaluations if warranted. Works closely with all staff in the Office of the Registrar and other University offices to ensure smooth coordination and accuracy of information.
Researches problem situations and follows up with students, faculty, parents, deans and administrators to ensure equitable treatment. Serves as a resource to the University community and others regarding degree certification policies and practices.
Assists Associate Registrar with student record policies and procedures as appropriate.

A Master's degree and two years of appropriate experience, or a Bachelor's degree and four years of appropriate experience is required.
Basic familiarity with standard records-keeping procedures and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act regulations; as well as Personnel Management Skills are required. Experience in degree audit or NCAA eligibility and a thorough understanding of NCAA's eligibility requirements are preferred.
Must have the ability to deal effectively with a wide range of people and also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Familiarity with Banner software, LSDBi database, and Compliance Assist are preferred.
