Summary of Responsibilities:
This new role will have ownership and oversight of the Threat Management and Cyber Security function with IT Risk & Security.
The AVP of the Threat Management & Cyber Security team is responsible to lead a highly skilled team of senior security professionals that will gather the necessary security intelligence, ensure the correlation of that intelligence with MetLife systems, analyze the resulting threat from the relevant information and then formulate actionable responses and threat mitigation to ensure the protection of MetLife’s systems, customer information and brand.
They will work cross-functionally across business and IT teams and globally to ensure effective communication and understanding by all levels of MetLife management. There is opportunity for a flexible work arrangement.
Insure that MetLife obtains actionable cyber security intelligence to effectively mitigate these emerging threats;
Oversee the deployment and effective operations of necessary cyber security counter measures;
Collaborate with Business Information Security Officers and their delegates to incorporate cyber security best practices across the global enterprise that reduce risk to MetLife;
Support the Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Technology Officer to effectively review and communicate current and emerging cyber security threats to MetLife;
Manage the teams that support the Cyber Security and Threat/ Incident functions.
Position will manage team of 8-12 senior security analysts;
Interface and collaborate with other functions with IT Risk & Security;
Ability to oversee incident handling across global IT & security teams;
Manage and report on resources, budget and projects as required;
Report directly into the Chief Information Security Officer;

15 years professional It Security related experiences in the financial services or similar industry.
Expertise and experiences in designing and facilitating IT security incident handling programs for multiple levels within an organization.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills; ability to engage audience.
Ability to multi-task; manage multiple projects and variety of clients simultaneously.
Demonstrate customer centric approach to problem solving;
Security Certification – CISM, CISSP or similar preferred;
Strong organizational and management skills;
Government experience (Department of Homeland Security, FBI, CIA preferred) or local, state and federal agencies.
Must be eligible for secret or top secret clearance.
