The Athletic Training Program at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor in Athletic Training. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty appointment beginning August 2014.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching undergraduate/graduate didactic and clinical courses in the CAATE Athletic Training Program or other post-professional programs; serving as a preceptor instructing and evaluating athletic training students; maintaining a clinical practice through an athletic team clinical assignment (no travel) through the Department of Athletics/Athletic Training; and advising and mentoring students. Scholarship leading to the dissemination of work and service to the Athletic Training program, the College of Health Sciences, and the University are expected, in addition to excellent teaching.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)
Earned doctorate in Athletic Training or related field; ABD considered. A minimum of five years’ BOC certification is required, and the applicant must be eligible for Indiana licensure. Previous successful college/university teaching experience in an athletic training program and clinical instruction of athletic training students is preferred. Experience as an athletic training clinician is preferred.
