The School of Occupational Therapy at the University of Indianapolis is seeking applications for a nine-month full-time, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor (with the potential to move to twelve months). Rank and salary are commensurate with experience. Start date: Fall 2013.

The mission of the Master in Occupational Therapy program within the School of Occupational Therapy is to develop caring and competent occupational therapy practitioners who are lifelong learners and leaders within local and global communities. Our students evolve into practitioners who link education, research, and practice as critical thinkers with the ability to apply evidence and uphold high standards of professionalism. The entry-level occupational therapy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education ( ACOTE ) and maintains an above-average pass rate on the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy ( NBCOT ) Examination. Primary Responsibilities include teaching within the entry-level Master of Science in OT program as well as the potential of teaching and advising in the postprofessional Master of Health Science and Doctor of Health Science programs. Additional responsibilities include student advising, research supervision (entry-level and/or postprofessional), mentoring, participating in scholarly endeavors, and providing service within the University and community.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications)
An occupational therapist with (or in pursuit of) an advanced postprofessional degree (doctoral degree preferred), experience in scholarly activities, teaching, research advising, professional service, and eligibility for Indiana licensure are required. Knowledge of current occupational therapy theory and clinical practice required.
