Andrews International (AI) seeks a Director of Security for a high profile account in Gurnee, Illinois. A strong law enforcement background or comparable experience in the military is desired. Supervisory and command level experience is a plus.

The Director would act as a liaison to client security management. The Director will report directly to the AI Regional Director that is responsible for the overall management of the accounts in the Region. Responsibilities to include: Providing leadership and supervision; manages multiple operations; ensures delivery of quality services; manages operations efficiently and effectively to achieve service and profitability objectives.

1. Ensures the delivery of high quality customer service through regular contact with clients; evaluates service quality and initiates corrective action as necessary.

2. Meets regularly with client representatives for status, updates and addresses any actual or potential problems, carries out security planning, assessments and surveys; reviews and updates post orders.

3. Recruit, select, orient, train, and develop high caliber staff; plan, assign and direct work; coach employees to enhance skills; carry out disciplinary actions as necessary.

4. Ensures scheduling is handled effectively to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs and minimizing non-billable over-time; reviews site reports to ensure post orders and client directions have been followed.

Required Skills Success in the position is formally assessed on a regular basis including performance in Financial, Management, and Operational areas. Such obvious measures as cost control, fleet management, training and development of personnel, management responsiveness, and decision making are augmented by measures of crime trending and analysis, CCTV management and utilization, public safety enhancement, and grant coordination. This is a salaried position with frequent time demands at any time day or night.

Above average computer skills are necessary to include an intermediate or above knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A working knowledge of D3 is preferred.

Professional and customer-service oriented Security Director needed for local large prominent retail establishment.

Required Experience Education: Associate’s degree and 3 or more years of experience in a field related to the security industry and/or business management, and responsible experience in the security industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.

Knowledge of Security Operations, Business Operations Management and Human Resource Administration.

At least 2 years verifiable supervisory experience required in Security and/or Law Enforcement field.
