Position Summary
The Associate, Analytics uses advanced quantitative analysis, data mining techniques and strong industry acumen to interpret, connect and predict electronic labs data in order to deliver insight and recommendations for clinical and business decisions. The Associate is responsible for conducting various Analytics projects leveraging Medivo’s data asset. The role requires excellent knowledge of advanced statistical techniques, the ability to leverage large datasets using established statistical techniques.
Analytics Projects
Work directly with Manager, Analytics to understand Medivo clients’ business objectives and translate them into structured analyses
Provide input to the development of the analysis strategy and execution plan
Work with data management (BI) resources to obtain the right data for each analysis
Perform the analysis, using industry-approved statistical methodologies
Take steps to ensure data accuracy (“0-defect analysis”) of analytics projects
Thoroughly document the steps taken to conduct each analysis, so that the results can be retraced for audit purposes
Prepare a visually compelling representation of the results
Able to present & defend the results of complex analytical models
Analytics projects include impact analysis of Medivo’s programs, clinical insights for clients, industry abstracts, surveys, presale projects and others
Analytics Process Management
Work with Manager, Analytics and Data Management team to create/enhance standard reports using business application tools
If/when applicable, provide support in certain management activities of the Analytics practice, such as
Maintaining timelines for all analytics projects and ensuring their timely delivery
Maintaining project workflow and coordinating execution efforts across multiple departments
Educated at BSc level in Quantitative Sciences (e.g. Maths, Stats, Engineering) or equivalent/above
Minimum of one year experience in either industry or academia in data analysis, experimental design and/or business intelligence
Passionate about working with complex data, finding insights and telling a meaningful story based on the data and able to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner.
Working knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, including marketing mix modeling, cluster analysis, factor analysis, etc.
Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience in Base SAS, R and SQL (SQLServer) on large databases
Experience with data visualization a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical matters with a non-technical audience in an effective way
Healthcare experience a plus
