Position description:
Key responsibilities are:
understand invoices sent to FiberNet and route to appropriate personnel for approval

ensure account distributions are correct on items presented for payment

ensure payments are properly approved with appropriate supporting documentation

timely and accurate payment processing

assist vendors with inquiries concerning payments

basic accounting skills for preparing journal entries

This position requires independent decision making on how to get invoices routed and approved for payment, and to respond to and resolve vendor/employee inquiries or complaints, in a timely and courteous manner.

Ensures that rules are followed for proper documentation and approval, particularly exception processes, and understands and controls account distributions. Follows up with vendors and employees to correct deficiencies.

Provides reports to management of activity and corporate indicators.

Complete special projects and analysis under the direction of the Supervisor or Controller.

Demonstrates an understanding of the policies, procedures and practices of the company which apply to the specific job.

Works within established guidelines utilizing procedures, work routines, and instructions.


Has a positive attitude, energy, willingness to learn, and ability to influence others.

Aptitude for detecting inconsistencies/defects and the ability to institute measures to prevent recurrence.

Ability to multi-task, work independently, and quickly adjust to changing priorities through the day

Must be able to meet deadlines, using excellent time management skills

Demonstrate ability to use various job-specific computer systems, particularly SAP.

Demonstrate knowledge of bookkeeping practices.

Excellent verbal communications and interpersonal skills are required.

Good record keeping and organization skills are a must.

Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.

Work Schedule:
8 to 5 Monday through Friday with some overtime required

This is a full-time position with benefits, including tuition reimbursement.
