Overview:
The Associate Oracle Business Application Analyst is responsible for assisting with business process analysis, design, maintenance and enhancement of business applications, providing specialized technical or business knowledge to projects. Work through the creation of functional requirements and test plans in support of business process design, new system development, software implementation prototype and system testing, user training, and recommending business procedure improvements. Focus primarily on implementing and testing the application rather than hands on work with the user community..

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the following:

  • Liaison with the business community and senior analysts in the daily support of all Canon Business Applications.
  • Perform daily ongoing triage, support and maintenance of existing business systems (Oracle ERP, Salesforce.com, and internal home-grown applications).
  • Activities include the following: Perform root cause analysis. Triage, test, perform migrations, and resolve issues.

  • Work closely with analysts to understand the business requirements and translate them into IT Functional Designs.
  • Work closely with development resources to ensure proper communication and translation of Canon Business Solutions requirements.
  • Review technical documents and work with other functional teams to ensure cross application integrity is considered.
  • Ensure all documentation standards are followed and maintained on a regular basis.
  • Assist with routine patch testing and upgrades, and overseeing the conversion of data and testing of interfaces/ extensions.
  • Assist in the development of training materials for Canon Business Users
  • Support Canon Business Solutions Business Operations by clarifying system functionality.
  • Support Canon Business Solutions Sales Organization by providing answers to how-to questions.
  • Contribute to the successful launch and ongoing support of new project assignments


  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree. Oracle certification.
    • Minimum 3 years industry experience in Oracle ERP (specifically Oracle CRM) and/or Salesforce.com.
    • SQL Skills: Novice level or above.
    • Programming Skills: JAVA, .net, Apex and /or Oracle Forms development
    • Business Experience in either Sales, Marketing , or Incentive Compensation
    Travel as necessary (less than 25%)
