Vintage + Market Finds Associate Category Manager
Vintage + Market Finds is seeking Associate Category Managers to curate and merchandise antique and vintage inventory across our nine categories: furniture, lighting, textiles, wall decor, art, decorative accessories, tabletop, floor coverings and books. The ideal candidate will have previous auction, curatorial, or gallery experience in relevant departments and a strong sense of vintage and antique market conditions and trends.
-Play an instrumental role in ensuring that Vintage + Market Finds maintains its integrity by offering our members a curated mix of unique items at legitimate values
-Assist in the vetting and approval of submitted inventory to ensure that it is in line with market prices and the One Kings Lane brand
-Maintain constant communication with vendors to ensure that item details are properly formatted, accurate, and reviewed on schedule
-Objectively assess merchandise mix and sales results in an attempt to constantly improve assortments
-Establish strong strategic relationships with existing partners
-Seek out reputable industry partners and dealers to broaden merchandise mix
-Passionate and knowledgeable about antique and vintage decorative arts, furniture, and flea market finds
-Passionate about home decor with a strong sense of home trends in editorial, blogs, and retail
-Experience cataloguing fine or decorative arts a plus
-Experience researching fine and decorative art prices through historical price databases a plus
-Familiarity and ties to antique dealers and industry professionals a plus
-Analytical with a strong interest in learning more about merchandising and e-commerce
-Extremely detail oriented
-Enthusiasm and aptitude for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment: highly self-directed and results-oriented
-Master's degree in history of decorative arts or design a plus
