2nd shift hours of 1:30pm - 10:00pm. The associate chemist is responsible for the timely assay of routine testing for raw materials, finished products and stability samples utilizing current cGMPs, cGLPs, SOPs, and current laboratory instrumentation. The associate chemist supports method development, validations, and other special projects, as requested, under the supervision of senior laboratory staff. The associate chemist performs other basic laboratory duties, as directed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform physical and chemical analysis of incoming finished products, stability samples, raw materials, and special requests.
Perform routine maintenance checks and calibration verifications on various equipment.
Enter, store and maintain information in written or electronic form.
Provide information to appropriate personnel in written or electronic form or in person.
Work independently with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience:
BS in Chemistry or related science preferred, 1-2 years analytical lab experience preferred
College Science courses required
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have experience in UV-VIS and general wet chemistry procedures. HPLC experience preferred. Must have excellent writing and communication skills.
