The Coachella Valley Water District, a large multi-discipline water agency located near Palm Springs, CA, is seeking an associate civil engineer for the Domestic Water Division of the Engineering Department. The Associate Domestic Water Engineer performs complex professional engineering work related to the planning, design and construction of District domestic water facilities including wells, reservoirs, transmission and distribution pipelines, booster/pump stations, pressure regulating and sustaining stations, and provides project supervision over engineering staff assigned to projects. Successful candidates must possess a high level of technical aptitude as well as demonstrate knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and methods of planning, design, hydraulic modeling and construction of various domestic water projects.

Note: this position requires possession of a validProfessional Engineer Certificate issued by the State of California and aBachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Anycombination of training and experience that would likely provide therequired knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to havethe required skills and abilities would be to have 5 to 10 years of increasingly responsible domestic water engineering experience.
