Associate Civil Engineer

The Coachella Valley Water District, is seeking an associate civil engineer for the Domestic Water Division of the Engineering Department. The
Associate Domestic Water Engineer
performs complex professional engineering work related to the planning, design and construction of District domestic water facilities including wells, reservoirs, transmission and distribution pipelines, booster/pump stations, pressure regulating and sustaining stations, and provides project supervision over engineering staff assigned to projects. Successful candidates
possess a high level of technical aptitude as well as demonstrate knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices and methods of planning, design, hydraulic modeling and construction of various domestic water projects.
Note: this position requires possession of a valid Professional Engineer Certificate issued by the State of California and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Any combination of training and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to have the required skills and abilities would be to have 5 to 10 years of increasingly responsible domestic water engineering experience.
