PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Associate Compensation Analyst assists with providing support related to compensation requirements, including position descriptions and evaluations, FLSA testing, and salary administration and conducting compensation analyses for HR management and HR Generalists. The Associate Compensation Analyst may also be responsible for directly supporting a business unit with their compensation requests. This position is also responsible for assisting with various firm-wide compensation programs and processes, such as the Annual Compensation Review Program, the Officer Titling Program and external survey submissions. The Associate Compensation Analyst contributes to ensure TRP jobs are appropriately aligned for internal equity and external competitiveness.
Provides support to managing salary administration program, including salary increase forecasting, analysis, and reporting to senior management.
Analyzes jobs through the job evaluation process to ensure internal equity of positions across job families and grade levels. Matching TRP positions to external market data; identifies internal comparisons; recommends grade and salary changes. Interviews managers and incumbents to obtain position information. Matches primary and secondary survey sources.
Conducts analyses of external market data to assess the competitiveness of salaries for client groups. Ensures survey submission is accurate by auditing & analyzing the data; answers questions from survey companies regarding anomalies; advises HR Generalists of the most appropriate matches for their given jobs.
Assists with the officer titling nominations program. Assists with solving problems, answers questions, and provides analysis for HR Generalists. Participates in the structure of the annual program and communications.
Partners with HR generalists to prepare increase recommendations. Creates analyses to reflect off-cycle salary increases, turnover by performance ratings, market data analyses for job families, and monthly department reports. Understands data requirements and creates analyses to display information accurately.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or related field
1-2 years experience in compensation and/or financial analysis and administration, preferably in financial services industry
CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) recipients and candidates
Proficient in advanced Excel and Access
College degree and 1 year of related work experience, or Associate degree and 3 years related work experience, or
High School diploma/equivalent and 5 years related work experience
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
Commitment to excellence in service and client relationship management
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Access
