At Unleaded, the Associate Creative Director is responsible for all aspects of creative work and services for a specified number of key client accounts and creative teams. They get to know their clients’ business in detail, and lead their team of copywriters and art directors to create effective, original and transformative ideas—and then make sure the execution of those ideas is strong. Often this means leading, managing, directing and supporting other team members. Sometimes it means being more hands-on with a project. But it always means responsibility in ensuring clients meet their objectives through great ideas, quality creative and strategically engineered experiences.
On any given day, you may need to:
Support the development of creative strategies, campaigns and ideas that solve client marketing and business challenges
Generate original ideas that align with client strategies and help clients achieve results
Pitch ideas effectively to both internal and client audiences
Garner a solid understanding of our clients’ businesses, as well as THEIR customers' business objectives and dynamics
Drive continuous process improvement and consistently make recommendations for the creative department
Lead and manage art directors and copywriters effectively
Make independent decisions without direction from others
Work with account managers to ensure a solid understanding of project and client dynamics
Manage third-party vendors as needed
Keep abreast of trends affecting the agency's business, as well as the business of our clients
Lead multiple projects simultaneously and keep everything on budget, on time and up to superior quality standards
Prioritize projects effectively and understand when more resources are needed
Think on the fly and come up with solutions when there's no precedent or guidance
There’s no single right background for an Associate Creative Director, but we’re primarily looking for someone with:
Bachelors Degree in Design, Advertising, Business, Marketing and/or Communications
8+ years experience in marketing with a branding, advertising, or interactive agency, or relevant client side experience
Background as a creative director, associate creative director, art director and/or designer preferred
The ability to brainstorm fearlessly, and facilitate creative collaboration
Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Basic management skills
The ability to inspire others to do great work
An eye for basic design, marketing and copy principles as well as current trends
