Purpose and Scope : To assist Senior Designer in designing brand appropriate product within the seasonal calendar.
Responsibilities :
Partner with the Senior Designer to create a cohesive accessories collection that meets the criteria defined by merchandising and adheres to the creative aesthetics of the approved seasonal rigs.
Responsible for preparing weekly design meetings ensuring all boards and materials are presentation ready.
Accurate note taking during Design meetings to be shared with Design team.
Create and update all technical design packages from initial design through to stock approval.
Ongoing vintage research to facilitate productive design and creative brainstorming session with Senior Designer.
Ensure all line sheets are updated meeting the required milestone dates.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor degree in design.
2-4 years of professional work experience in the fashion industry with a focus on accessories.
Extremely creative with a good eye for detail.
Proficient in Outlook, Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design. Web PDM comprehension, a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation and time management skills.
Excellent organizational skills with a strong understanding of the product life cycle and calendar management.
Must be creative in problem solving and be able to troubleshoot any obstacles that may come across throughout the development and design process.
Knowledge and interest in historical and vintage garments and accessories is essential.
