Position Summary:
The Associate Director-Accounting, will report to the Controller and will primarily be responsible for all aspects of the SEC reporting function, including external reporting, preparation of company's 10-Q's, 10-K's, and all other required SEC filings within the required timeframes. This position will also have responsibility for the General Ledger Close, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for accurately according to GAAP and reported on a timely basis, and oversee the quarterly and annual external audits. (The Director of Revenue is responsible for Revenue). In addition this position will compile, review and prepare documents for SOX compliance.

Draft and coordinate internal and external review, and filing of SEC documents, including 10K and 10Q’s.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations, including new rules and regulations resulting from Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Identify, research and resolve key accounting issues impacting the company, including new or contemplated transactions and newly released and effective accounting guidance
Ensure consistency and best practice across accounting operational areas
Manage worldwide general ledger close and consolidation
Manage HFM consolidation system and administrator
Manage the preparation of company’s benefit plan financial statement and audit
Identify, recommend and implement accounting process improvements to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the monthly and year-end closings, accuracy and timeliness
Compile, review and prepare documents for compliance during SOX and SAS 70 audits
Oversee External quarterly and annual audits
Provide work direction, coach, mentor and train new and existing team members
Responsible for retention of employees through completion of timely performance reviews and assisting in career development within area of responsibility

5 - 8 years of accounting related and management experience, including public and large corporation experience
5 + years public accounting and/or industry experience
Extensive understanding and experience supporting financial and related systems
Prior management experience with G/L, financial reporting, month-end close
Responsibility for external audits
Technical Knowledge/Skills
Proven GAAP and SEC knowledge and understanding
Strong analytical and organizational skills
HFM / SAP system knowledge
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Deep financial systems knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
