The Associate Director will direct and manage cross functional human resource operations with an emphasis on data analysis, data management, compensation, classification, and project management. The position will develop and maintain the management information necessary to the Division of Human Resources. This includes both internal benchmark and trend data and external market information relevant to HR functions. Ensure data integrity and collaborates with HRIS in designing and implementing appropriate technologies to meet the information needs of the division. Prepares and interprets reports for leadership team; responsible for HR business and finance by performing financial analysis and compile plan information to be used in the strategic planning, design and management of HR initiatives.
The position is responsible for oversight of budgets and financial analysis. Assist in conceptualization development and implementation and evaluation of policies in support of compensation and classification, system capabilities and procedures that effectively support compensation programs and university philosophies. This involves audits of pay practices to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation applicable to wage and hour laws and regulations and internal pay policies; thoroughly document findings and recommend appropriate solutions for compliance.
Project management to include the planning, execution and finalization of projects involving complex work according to stringent deadlines; define project objectives and scope; acquire resources and coordinates efforts of team members and consultants to deliver project according to plan; oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle; responsible for HR communication and marketing support; Develop recommendation for programs, policies, process improvement and project designed to assist in achieving human resource strategic objectives.
This position requires strong analytical skills involving data analysis and management coupled with a strong knowledge of compensation and benefits; must have the ability to manage projects, high attention to detail; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to influence others; strong sense of balance taking into account position variances. A high level of PeopleSoft skills (9.1) and knowledge are required for success in this role.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Bachelor's degree with seven years of demonstrated exempt level human resource management, business/finance and operations experience involving data analysis and management, compensation and classification and project management; demonstrated knowledge of PeopleSoft skills(9.1), supervisory experience is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications (Education & Experience):
Master's degree with ten or more years of demonstrated HR experience involving data analysis and management, compensation, classification, and project management. Prefer Lean/Six Sigma Certification; Project Management Professional Certification (PMP); prefer Certified Compensation Professional (CCP); Professional Human Resource (PHR), or Senior Professional Human Resource (SPHR).
