The Associate Director, Learning & Development, will define Mead Johnson Nutrition’s North America Commercial Learning and Development Strategy. In consultation with business leaders, HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition professionals this position will lead the development and implementation of key Learning & Development initiatives to meet the knowledge, skills and performance of the North America business. This person will develop and deliver related programs to the Sales and Marketing teams, and to ensure proficiency in both knowledge and execution. This position is responsible for the educational and instructional design experience and accelerating the transfer of knowledge. This person will practice sound principles of performance-based, systematic instructional design throughout the North America organization. This person will work closely with the Corporate Learning group in the development and implementation of Corporate Learning & Development and management development initiatives. This person will be a strategic contributor as well as a hands on training specialist.

Qualifications

Education

:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of HR, education and L&D experience.

Master’s degree in Adult Learning, Education, HR, Business, or Communications preferred but not required.

Knowledge and Experience

:

7-10 years related experience in a corporate training environment with training development / organization development responsibilities.

Has a demonstrated understanding and application of adult learning theory, needs analysis, stand-up platform and presentations/facilitation skills and instructional design principles.

Proven ability to interact and influence senior leaders. Can present to and collaborate with senior leadership.

Must be highly skilled in interventions; experience in multicultural environment is beneficial.

Strong technical skills in training design, delivery and measurement.

Collaborative operating style and ability to work effectively throughout the organization.

Solid analytical and conceptual skills.

Change management expertise.

Organizational design capability.

Experience in design and delivery of field sales training helpful.
