Assoc Director, Materials Managment:
Responsible for all Shire Regenerative Medicine global production planning, scheduling and inventory management. Builds and leads the SRM Planning Team(s) in the robust delivery and management of all Company finished products, materials and supplies including the development of compliant, scalable, industry standard planning systems and methodology.

Responsibilities: • Develop, design and install robust, scalable SRM planning, scheduling and inventory control systems, tools and business processes sufficient to deliver accurate product supply (commercial and clinical) for global SRM production facilities (both internal manufacturing and CMO's). Includes development of SRM Planning Process gap analyses (current vs. future state); development of business process remediation activities; 'enterprise' coordination of stakeholders; creation of a 'quality' and 'right the first time' culture; proactive efforts to support collaboration and participation; facilitation and synchronization of inter-plant and inter-site group activities; efficient utilization of shared resources between plants and sites; recommend and implement end-to-end Planning business process design and improvements. • Communicate vision and strategic directions sufficient to enable subordinate managers to effectively achieve the mission and stated objectives of their respective Master Planning, Scheduling and Inventory Control functional areas. Effectively manage and support all aspects of 'change' as Company grows and expands into a global multi-product / multi-site business. • Develop and manage high performing Planning Teams and continually provide clarification, motivation, guidance, coaching and feedback regarding functional area performance to established performance expectations and requirements. Support cross training by providing opportunities and information. • Identify, recruit, retain and efficiently develop functional staff. Initiate methods to encourage effective leadership, decision-making, collaboration, innovation, and a 'can-do' attitude. Recommend and utilize methods to reward teamwork and performance. • Implement, direct and facilitate the SRM Monthly Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) Process utilizing industry standard (e.g. Oliver Wight) proven techniques and methodology. Assure tactical Product Plans are aligned with Company Business Plan.

Education and Experience Requirements • Minimum BS / BA degree (life sciences, engineering, business or finance disciplines preferred) • 10 or more years' professional experience working with Planning Systems and methodology gained within the biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry (manufacturing, supply chain, strategic planning, project and process management). Multidisciplinary experience preferred. • APICS Certification and / or equivalent demonstrated experience required. • Heavy technical experience / training in industry standard business systems (ERP / SAP / QAD, MES, DCS, WMS). • 6 or more years'people management experience. Proven abilities to effectively to lead, organize and prioritize work of others essential. • Demonstrated robust working knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) essential. • Experience and / or certifications in Lean / Six Sigma / Operations Excellence. • A successful overall performance record in meeting or exceeding quantitative and qualitative goals and targets. Demonstration of sound business judgment and effective decisions. Technical Proficiency: Able to apply a high level of technical knowledge to the design, use and maintenance of planning systems and their integrations. Capable to define planning system user requirements, functional specifications, test and validation procedures. Expert in the functions of these systems and their integrations to Corporate level and legacy business systems. Keeps current with Business System industry trends and continuously expands knowledge through participation in industry conferences, membership in industry associations (APICS), and information sharing with other biotech Business System users.
