Responsible for defining and implementing Mobile and Digital technology strategy and initiatives to address Commercial business objectives and requirements. Lead a cutting edge mobile application development team and programs. This individual will be responsible for building out and developing this team, overseeing the development of the commercial digital mobile applications, and platform. Partners with the business to define and implement technology roadmap utilizing Software as a Service (SaaS), Digital Marketing Agencies, and Managed Services. Oversees implementation and support of the Mobile solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. This position is ideal for a candidate who has a good mix of strategic planning and communication experience combined with a strong desire to be involved in hands-on design and delivering of the innovative plans. Key Job Responsibilities

Directs the fulfillment of business' commercial needs, supporting Mobile & Digital technology and applications related to Commercial customers:

Develops and continuously refines technology vision and roadmap (both functional and technical) for Commercial organizations aligned with the business objectives.

Identify emerging technologies and optimize technologies that increase Commercial strategies effectiveness and opportunities to drive sales. This person should be a thought leader that will closely monitor industry trends to stay on the cutting edge of mobile and digital technology.

Leads the evaluation and selection of Mobile and digital technology solutions to achieve business needs and corporate objectives utilizing SaaS, hosted solutions, or COTS packages.

Defines proactive activities and tasks required for optimization of stability and performance of applications and business processes within the Commercial area.

Directs and influences appropriate support teams (internal, third party and MSPs) to ensure world class service.

Assists in resource allocation in support of IT activities for the commercial area.

Collaborates on departmental and systems budgetary activities.
Negotiates and administers vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.



Deep understanding of Mobile and Digital technology, Commercial applications (SFA, Relationship Management, Sales-Force Effectiveness, Multi-Channel Digital Marketing. Social Media, e-commerce and User Experience best practices).

Must have advanced consulting skills within pharmaceutical corporations setting the strategy for the technology roadmap and gaining buy-in from the client executives.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate broad and deep technical knowledge, covering existing Commercial packages, Mobile technology, custom software development and infrastructure.

Program management skills, Project management principles and software development life cycle management

Highly experienced at managing teams and agency partners to produce breakthrough work.

Requires strong understanding of the company's products, the competition, and the pharmaceutical industry in general including current industry trends and regulatory changes.

Knowledge of global computer system regulatory requirements as they relate to systems development, testing, and validation.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing or Business (required). MBA or Advanced Degree (highly desirable).

10+ years IT experience with the Life Sciences industry.

3+ years of experience with Mobile and Digital application development and managing COTS/SaaS software development.

Prior direct experience working with Digital Agencies.

7+ years experience in a leadership role managing contractors and MSPs.
In some cases, a combination of performance, education and related experience may be considered as equivalent to the above requirements provided that the individual processes the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job requirements satisfactorily.
