POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general direction of the Training & Development Team lead, provide leadership and support for the sales and delivery of training programs to ensure Xcenda meets all client training needs and assists in building a “best in class” training service line.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Primary contributor to the sales and growth of Xcenda’s training service offering to pharmaceutical manufacturers geared toward sales teams, account managers, brand teams and other industry audiences focused on managed care, reimbursement and access, health economics and specialty pharmaceuticals
  • Provide strategic sales leadership and support for training opportunities in collaboration with Xcenda service lines through client meetings, client presentations, proposal and budget development
  • Take the lead to identify training solutions specific to each client need
  • Proactively identify new leads for training and carry through to new business
  • Take the lead in the design, development, and implementation of training initiatives with support from Xcenda’s subject matter experts
  • Serve as lead trainer and deliver training programs through various methodologies and platforms to include distance learning venues, live training workshops, virtual classrooms, and webinars
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Stay abreast of latest adult learning techniques, instructional design methods, and technologies platforms needed to deliver impactful, results-oriented training programs
  • Conduct needs assessments within Xcenda, to continually enhance the training service line offerings
  • Demonstrate commitment to the firm and is an integral part of a high performance team
  • Maintain individual chargeability requirement
  • Assist with managing clients and projects providing the highest quality and utmost customer service
  • Monitor competitive activity in the marketplace and provide recommendations to Training lead
  • Consistently meets the goals of the ABC Core Competencies
  • Perform related duties as assigned


  • Qualifications
    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Requires a broad background, with an emphasis in training and development and knowledge of managed care and the healthcare environment. Training background may include design and development of training in the areas of product knowledge, managed markets, reimbursement, negotiation skills / platform skills, health outcomes and any other areas to meet client needs. Experiences may also include sales, marketing, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) Certified Professional in Learning and Performance Certification (CPLP) or skilled in any of the following areas is preferred.

    Normally requires 5+ years of related experience. Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

    MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
    • Employment in the health care training, consulting or the pharmaceutical industry/ biotechnology/medical device (minimum of 5-6 years) with a history of successful achievement in the fields of training development, sales, and marketing
    • Proven track record of facilitating and leading training programs for the pharmaceutical industry audience
    • Proven ability to contribute to a team and to deliver results on time, with the available resources, and within budget
    • Proven ability to work on multiple projects and with multiple individuals simultaneously
    • Proven ability to maintain high quality output
    • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/medical device industry and experience with issues surrounding the marketing of pharmaceutical products
    • Knowledge and experience to effectively provide adult learning training venues
    • Strong understanding of Managed Markets, including commercial, Medicare, Medicaid populations
    • Knowledge and experience within the payer market (MCOs, PBMs, LTC, Specialty Pharmacy)
    • Maintain knowledge of current healthcare trends
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Think independently
    • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
    • Demonstrated success within the consulting environment or pharmaceutical industry
    • Broad knowledge in the areas of training and training development.
    • Ability to interact with and influence clients to drive new business development for the company
    • Interest and ability to “think outside the box”
    • Excellent writing skills as well as the ability to communicate complex material in presentations and discussions in a straightforward manner
    • Display flexibility and collaboration
    • Strong interpersonal skills in order to develop sound, long-term client relationships and an ability to influence clients without being overbearing
    • Ability to work well in a dynamic, successful consulting firm, which maintains high quality standards and demands excellence
