ALUMNI RELATIONS

MULTIPLE POSITIONS (Three positions)

Athletics:

Description: Southern Illinois University Carbondale invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Director for Development and Alumni Relations (Athletics) who will serve as a constituent development officer to lead and coordinate the fundraising activities of Saluki athletics. The development officer will manage an assignment of donor prospects, including alumni, engaging in personal cultivation and solicitation for the unit. Travel and weekend work will be necessary to fulfill the tasks. The successful candidate will be a member of the University development staff and will report to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations and to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. The candidate will work closely with staff to determine key priorities and needs.

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelors degree is required, with a minimum of three years professional experience in fundraising, alumni relations, sales, or a related field. Excellent writing, listening, and speaking skills are required, as well as strong organizational and time-management skills, computer competence, adaptability, and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Must be willing to travel extensively.

Preferred Qualifications: A masters degree is preferred. The successful candidate will possess proven leadership and organizational skills, experience with comprehensive campaigns, a strong record of success in raising significant major gifts; and the personal energy, enthusiasm and patience to develop a comprehensive development program that continually surpasses goals and overcomes obstacles. Higher education advancement (development or alumni), athletics fundraising, healthcare, or arts organization experience preferred.

Central:

Description: Southern Illinois University Carbondale invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Director for Development and Alumni Relations (Central) who will be responsible for leading and coordinating the fundraising activities as a central development officer with a focus on scholarships. Travel and weekend work will be necessary to fulfill the tasks. The successful candidate will be a member of the University development staff and will report to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations.

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelors degree is required, with a minimum of three years professional fundraising experience. Proven track record of successful experience in fundraising solicitations. Excellent writing, listening, and speaking skills are required, as well as strong organizational and time-management skills, computer competence, adaptability, and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Must be willing to travel extensively.

Description: Southern Illinois University Carbondale invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Director for Development and Alumni Relations (Corporate Foundation Giving) who will serve as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to coordinate multiple fundraising activities of the University. The Director will manage an assignment of donor prospects, engaging in personal cultivation and solicitation for the University. Travel and weekend work will be necessary to fulfill the tasks. The successful candidate will be a member of the University development staff and will report to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations. The candidate will work closely with faculty and staff to determine and develop strategies to solicit support for key University priorities.

Minimum Qualifications: A bachelors degree is required, with a minimum of three years professional experience in fundraising. Proven track record of successful experience in fundraising solications and securing corporate/foundation gifts. Excellent writing, listening, and speaking skills are required, as well as strong organizational and time-management skills, computer competence, adaptability, and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Must be willing to travel extensively.

Compensation: The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and experience; there is an excellent fringe benefits package.
