Mercy College is inviting applicants to apply for the position of Associate Director of Recruitment. There are multiple vacancies for this position.

The Associate Director of Recruitment is responsible for developing relationships with colleges, college transfer counselors, and corporate/community organizations. In collaboration with the Senior Director of Admissions, s/he will hire, train, evaluate and be responsible for disciplining Admissions Counselors. S/he will be responsible for assigning Admissions Counselors to specific schools/college and supervising their activities in recruitment fairs, events, and presentations at schools, colleges, and organizations. In addition s/he will train and supervise Admissions Counselors in organizing and implementing visits to the College from prospective graduate students.

The Associate Director of Recruitment plays a vital role in facilitating and fostering the College's reputation and image. Applicants must be able to represent the College in a highly professional, ethical and knowledgeable manner at all times.

S/he must be creative and innovative in territory management and understand higher education trends and marketing approach. S/he will provide input to management & suggest recruitment/sales that are innovative and creative; participate in training recommended and/or facilitated by the College and handle other support functions related to recruitment/sales responsibilities.

Education Required or Min Education Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year institution is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

Experience and/or Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum two years of experience in admissions recruiting or applicable sales, supervisory experience and have demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, written and oral communication, problem solving, coaching, organizational, and presentation skills. S/he will also need demonstrated evidence of building client relationships and dealing with diverse clients. The successful candidate must be detail orientated, demonstrated evidence of customer service orientation, the ability to work independently, and handle great levels of responsibility. Applicants must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Banner experience a plus. The ability to speak multiple languages is also a plus.
