The Associate Editorial Director oversees a series of online and print newsletters. This position is responsible for setting the vision and managing the execution of a customer-focused content strategy within a range of healthcare leader markets. More specifically, this individual oversees newsletter content development efforts across formats in specific markets to drive audience engagement and growth. To do this, the Associate Editorial Director focuses his or her and the organization's efforts on three primary areas: customer knowledge and strategy, product innovation and business development, and senior management and administration.
The Associate Editorial Director must analyze and organize a series of existing newsletters, determine the most appropriate formats, manage newsletter editor/writers (including a pool of freelance writers), and oversee online and print production. Under the direction of the VP for Media, Research, & Newsletters, this individual is responsible for the editorial and financial vitality of newsletters. The Associate Editorial Director will assess the quality of existing newsletters and look for new launch opportunities in the appropriate formats. This position will be the point contact for working with marketing, sales, and production teams.
Must possess excellent writing, editing, research, and communication skills, and an independent work ethic.
Education: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred
Experience: 5+ years of experience as a content professional working in progressively responsible positions within the healthcare industry. 1-2 years in a management position
Computer Skills: Strong knowledge Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)and powerpoint
