The incumbent will be trained in four areas in the Finance / Accounting organization. These areas include Commercial Banking Finance, Consumer / Retail Finance, Corporate Planning, and Corporate Accounting. The incumbent will be trained for four and one half months in each area and will complete the full training program in eighteen months with an expectation to be placed in one of the four areas on a go forward basis at the end of the training cycle.
Specific training in each area will include, but is not limited to, the following:
Commercial Banking Finance – Financial budgeting, forecasting, reporting. Exposure to the various commercial banking business lines to establish a basic understanding, loan and deposit accounting / pricing, etc.
Consumer / Retail Finance - Assisting with volume reporting for HLS, supporting the production / sales team, exposure to financial management of Student Loan and Auto portfolios, etc.
Corporate Planning – Exposure to the production of the corporate budget and forecast, analytical analysis of the budget and forecast, financial reporting including the board of directors report and the quarterly earnings report, financial management accounting, etc.
Corporate Accounting - Preparation of financial statements for $130 billion banking organization, analysis of the results of the company and provide such financial analysis to management, research queries from external auditors and regulators and advise management of such issues, test, review and report on internal controls of the accounting and reporting departments, coordinate comprehensive financial reports and assist colleagues in other areas with questions on accounting issues, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance .
- Fully proficient in PC tools (Microsoft Office).
- Written and oral presentation skills.
- Minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Followed the Bryant University or Providence College application process

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
