Standard & Poor’s Quantitative Analytics Research Group (QARG) is responsible for developing cutting edge quantitative analytics, tools and models for internal use and external commercialization. Within the QARG, we are six Associate Internship opportunities working on projects associated with Quality Model Development, Financial Assurance, RMBS Analytics, Structured Finance, Market Derived Signals, and Natural Language Processing.
Interested applicants must be students pursuing an advanced degree in Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or Statistics with applications in the financial markets.
Qualifications
Advanced quantitative modeling skills
Excellent MATLAB or C++ programming skills.
Prior experience with data analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and Power Point
Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, able to overcome obstacles, be detailed oriented, and think creatively
