The category analytics Associate Manager is responsible for strengthening and accelerating the analytics capability focused on the B-to-B market. This role will lead the development on the internal database infrastructure, processes and tools required to support arrange of strategic insight requirements including 1:1 targeting, campaign measurement, executive dash-boarding and segmentation development. This person will have access to a wide variety of systems and will support the development of data-driven recommendations for business leaders. This person will become widely regarding as the subject matter expert on where datasets are located, how to access them, and current limitations of the data. The Associate Manager will be skilled in a wide variety of data querying, modeling, and loading technologies and techniques, including writing query scripts and application code. The Analytics Associate Manager will provide a reliable data foundation for analyses and presentations constructed by the team.
The vision of the Consumer Insights Unit (CIU) is to provide a clear, relevant, actionable, measurable and trusted view of the consumer to the enterprise that is acted upon to drive growth of the global enterprise. Within the broader CIU, the analytics team seeks to explain and predict changes in both controllable and non-controllable factors as it relates to our businesses operated in the US and elsewhere. These include macro-economic factors, industry size changes, market share shifts, and movement within our channels, product lines, and customer segments. The lens through which we explore these aspects is always oriented around the customer. We also seek to create a fact-base on which management can make superior decisions, including clear measurement and the discerning of causality in complex, multivariate systems in the real world.
Bachelor's degree or greater in business or related field
6 or more years' experience in retail, research, analytics, analytical business or related area
2 or more years' managerial or leadership experience
4 or more years' project management experience
Deep functional expertise in database marketing, integrated marketing and CRM disciplines
3 or more years of experience with SQL and relational databases
Advanced degree in business or related field
2 or more years' leadership experience in the following: database marketing, integrated marketing and CRM disciplines within B-to-B
Experience in a consumer insights function for a global consumer-oriented organization in retail, manufacturing or a related industry
People and budget responsibility
Expertise with a variety of measurement, research or analytic packages and platforms
Functional knowledge of B-to-B data enhancement products & processes
Functional knowledge of SAS
