As the Associate Marketing Communications Specialist, you will be joining a dynamic marketing communications team. You will have a direct impact on the business by leveraging experience and creativity in maintaining and growing the Ann Sacks brand. You will plan, coordinate and monitor key aspects of the marketing and communications plan to assist Ann Sacks in maintaining a leadership position in the residential and commercial tile and stone industry. The Marketing Specialist's main duties include PR support; photograghy execution; event support; and literature and sales tool planning and development. These duties are in addition to transactional support such as facilitating tradeshow display development and the organization and caretaking of all marketing and communications content and its distribution to showrooms, corporate personnel, outside creative agencies and the media.
Maintain a close and supportive working relationship with all Ann Sacks personnel, agencies, vendors, dealers, and related clients. This includes domestic and international businesses as they relate to the company's current marketing plans, goals, and objectives.
Remain current on industry trends, technological advances, and competitive developments, especially as they relate to print and digital communications and retail promotions.
Support public relations activities
Respond to all PR requests for images, copy, information and fact-checking
Assist in event and appointment planning and execution
Coordinate the production and shipment of all literature, fact sheets and display materials for media tours and appointments
Act as primary contact for all donation requests
Act as primary contact for all promotional orders that need to be placed
Post editorial in company newsletter
Manage editorial library of magazines
Update Kohler PR monthly on UK and China editorial for global tracking report
Support new product launches
Coordinate production of photography for new tile/stone for tear sheets, website and any literature
Create the tear sheets from existing templates in Quark Xpress 4.1 for all new tile and stone product launches
Po st tear sheets to the corporate Ann Sacks Intranet under appropriate folder and provide to Web Specialist for website posting
Update any outdated existing tear sheets, provide to Web Specialist for website and repost to Intranet
Update PR team with information and content on any new products
Lead photography execution for Ann Sacks
Maintain and build list of brand-appropriate photographers and stylists
Maintain list of photography assets needed for website and literature and lead execution of that photography
When needed, negotiate pricing and hire photographers and stylists for product, panel and installation shoots, with approval of manager
When needed, provide upfront and on-site creative direction to photographers and stylists upon alignment with manager
Recommend selects to manager for company use; direct retouching and/or color correction of selects, with feedback from manager
Catalog and coordinate access to all company photography
Consult Web Specialist on photography use for website and social media and represent any medium-specific needs
Assist in showroom event direction and execution
With manager, provide ideas, advice and requirements to showrooms
Provide direction to showrooms through formal communications
Develop and coordinate visual display funded by Marketing
Lead execution of tradeshow presentation
Order and product on time and on budget
Develop signage and product training materials
Staff tradeshows and assist with any on-site events as required or directed by manager
Assist in the development of print advertising, email marketing, catalogs, brochures, sales tools, premiums and showroom signage
Coordinate sample and board provision to ad agency for concepting and photography
Assist in or lead the design of printed material
Manage marketing collateral inventory and distribution on an ongoing basis
Process all orders for corporate printed material
Coordinate the development and ordering of all premiums, inclusive of unique new product launch giveaways
Coordinate development and execution of marketing signage in showrooms
Assist manager in management of the annual advertising budget
Co-develop literature, photography, event support and PR budgets
Monitor expenses to ensure all related advertising expenses do not exceed plan
Process all budget invoices for Marketing and Communications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related degree with three to four years experience in an agency or corporate marketing and communications environment. Must be a strategic thinker, a team player and a good communicator and have strong creative instincts.
