This position provides an opportunity in Textron’s Thermal Protection Group for a technician with applicable experience to work on NASA’s Orion Spacecraft Heat Shield Program by manufacturing thermal protection materials.
Responsibilities may include:
Filling cells with Textron’s trademarked composite resin materials.
Surface preparation and bonding composite materials.
Vacuum bagging and executing cure cycles.
Surface preparation and spray painting.
Working with cured and uncured heat resistant composite materials.
Following process documentation and recording results.

Job summary Requirements:
Exceptionally qualified candidates will possess experience in processing of engineered materials, specifically composites and/or ceramics.
Basic requirements for the position include the following:
A positive and committed attitude toward your work and career, together with a willingness to share and learn.
1-3 years experience working with your hands and mind in a production or laboratory environment.
Prior experience in construction trades, boat or spar building, machine shop or other industries where eye hand coordination is a key factor will be highly valued.
Candidates need to have a mindset that embraces quality, continuous improvement and work place safety.
This position requires a general familiarity with hand tools, weighing and measuring as well as lab/production instruments and equipment.
License and Certification Requirements:
