This position is r
esponsible for refinery economic and production optimization through the crude oil planning and scheduling processes.
Coordinates crude oil deliveries and inventory control through planning and scheduling process.
Establishes optimum Refinery operating guidelines (e.g. unit run rates, production and economic priorities) consistent with current economics, feedstock availability, unit constraints, maintenance activities and other constraints impacting Refinery operations. Communicate to management, operations, maintenance and engineering.
Develops daily and long range crude run-out in compliance with the Operating Plan.
Acts as refinery contact point for corporate S&O and other entities involved with crude oil logistics.
Coordinates export product shipping and timing with local Product Blending Coordinators and S&O.
Works closely with operations, maintenance and engineering to ensure optimal plan performance, including identifying opportunities, constraints and best practices.
Updates current inventory and production plan into SIMTO.
Provides back-up coverage for Oils Planning Manager and Product Blending Coordinators as required. Participates in oils planning and supply/distribution meetings and teleconferences.
Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience
Minimum B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Minimum 5 years refinery or petrochemical experience.
