The Associate Product Lead, Consumer Platforms is a full-time position in NBC Universal's Operations & Technical Solutions team and will support eBook Publishing product initiatives on behalf of all NBCU brands and business units including capturing publishing road maps, supporting existing technologies, recognizing new products and services available within the eBook space.
Other responsibilities will include:
Support eBook publishing strategies including establishing publishing road map, advising businesses on currently available technologies, and assist in defining future opportunities in the space.
Manage Operations & Technical Services’ eBook publishing initiatives with a focus on expertise, client delivery, and collaboration with the rest of the organization.
Support eBook publishing projects from inception, definition, implementation, and follow-on releases.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to communicate eBook technology roadmaps, namely NBCU brands, Digital Distribution, and Operations & Technical Services Tech Production, Operations, Engineering and Business Development & Analysis teams.
Provide ongoing analysis to monitor product/program effectiveness, including operational and business performance working closely with Ad Sales, Ad Operations, Digital Distribution, Research and other stakeholders.
Support the Creative Director of NBC Publishing to define and produce appropriate product requirement documentation for enhancements or new eBook products including business requirements, use-cases, wireframes, and presentation materials.
Understand technical requirements for implementing products and services, including device capabilities, delivery mechanisms, etc.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key eBook industry partners and suppliers
Gather and collaborate on defining eBook requirements from cross-functional internal teams for RFP’s and lead partner evaluations together with the Director,Digital Products Publishing.
Manage internal communication of ePublishing industry information and its relevance/impact to NBCU (market trends, new players/codecs/OS releases enhancements, etc.) to Operations & Technical Services team and larger NBCU business community.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience
Minimum 3 years work experience within the digital industry working directly on one or more of the following: Messaging, Web, Video, Applications
Minimum 2 years work experience within the media/television industry

Knowledge of application developement and infrastructure including: OS support, device capabilities, wireless networks.
Comfortable around reading and writing techical documentation.
Comfortable with technology concepts including: APIs, RSS, MRSS, XML
Experience working directly with business stakeholders to understand their needs, capture requirements, and build out plans.
Experience/familiarity with Device manufactures, OEM’s, and Distribution Channels.
Strong aptitude and desire to work in the publishing world
Passion for technology and for television programming in general
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
