This position is responsible for working closely with the Sales Development Manager and predominantly with the Convenience Store Marketing and Sales Team to sell a full range of Tyson products for marketing in the Convenience Store sales channel. This involves identifying products that meet customer needs and working with Tyson internal assets in purchasing, R&D, production, accounting, customer development, and customer service/distribution to coordinate the entire Tyson asset package for the customer's benefit and achieve a sustainable point of difference for Tyson Foods in the Convenience Store channel. This position is responsible for the facilitation of all activities necessary to achieve sales and profit objectives of each designated product category in an effort to ensure growth in volume and profit for Tyson Foods. This position will also be responsible for the development and communication of products to support both customer requests and strategic platforms, and to work with the Convenience Store Marketing and Sales Team and Tyson Business Units to execute pricing and margin strategies relative to the Business Unit's objectives for Volume and EBIT. Specific responsibilities include: contribute to the achievement of sales volume and financial objectives; be a champion of Tyson company policies, core values, cultural tenets, BGREAT strategy and customer creed; contribute to the development of business and innovation plans for the Convenience Store channel; develop and commercialize new products to meet consumer, customer and enterprise needs.
Education: Business/marketing or product management background. Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field.
Experience: 4+ years of formal and/or business application experience in any of the areas of product management, product marketing, or product development with specific product knowledge in regards to product categories, specification and processing.
Computer Skills: Standard computer skills required, especially in Microsoft Office Suite; experience in working with the Tyson PDM, NPD and GSM systems preferred.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Special Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and projects involving other team members to achieve project and timeline requirements.
Travel: 6-11 domestic trips per year.
