Position Description
Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics, School of Public Health and Information Sciences, University of Louisville (http://louisville.edu/sphis/bb/) is inviting applications for a second tenure track assistant professor position starting Fall of 2013.
Duties include but are not limited to maintaining a very active high quality collaborative research program in biostatistics with all units in health sciences and other academic programs, conducting methodological research in biostatistics, taking part in various grants and consulting initiatives, and teaching in the departmental and school based graduate and/or undergraduate programs. While strong candidates from all research areas will be considered, we prefer candidates whose research areas are complementary to those of the existing faculty. The department currently maintains very successful MS and doctoral programs in biostatistics with a strong methodological component. It also takes part in a school based public health master's program.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in biostatistics, statistics, or a closely related discipline. Screening of applications will begin on January 01, 2013 and continue until the position is filled.
