Althea currently has an opening for an Associate Level Project Manager. The successful candidate manages assigned projects: product/process transfers, API productions, Fill/Finish, improvements, or capital, and ensures that all projects are executed properly, attaining desired outcomes in schedule, cost and quality. He/She will organize and manage multiple teams to accomplish agreed projects activities & timely implementation of goals and objectives. The Associate Project Manager will manage and facilitate project meetings, interactions, and communications.
Additionally, he/she will identify and bring resolution to issues impacting project plans. The Associate Project Manager will lead the team to identify issues and propose solutions. He/She will serve as focal point for project information, manage timelines and action items. The successful candidate will collaborate with team leaders to present project-related information (proposals, plans, updates, issues, and recommendations) to senior management as needed. He/She will work with teams to define roles and responsibilities of project teams and team members and will also work closely with cross-functional groups to resolve any project issues in order to optimize results while minimizing project costs.

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering discipline, and a minimum of 2 years biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience in at least one aspect of biologic or drug development required. The Associate should have a minimum of 1 year of direct Project Management experience. A sound understanding of biotech or drug product development activities and of multi-project planning and coordination is required. The candidate must be able to prioritize and multi-task, work effectively with little or no direction, and build collaborative relationships with management, partners and peers from diverse backgrounds. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required along with Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. The qualified candidate will have strong computer skills, including MS Project. The position also requires highly developed interpersonal skills with the proven ability to function effectively and tactfully with multiple departments and personnel, able to gain consensus and commitment.
