The Associate Publisher is responsible to provide high level support and expertise to the Deputy Executive Director in the overall management of ECS publications and in the development of new publications programs. The incumbent will assist in the development of, but especially in the implementation of, the Society's social media strategy to further position the organization as an innovative leader in its marketplace. The Associate Publisher will further assist in the implementation of special projects and initiatives that advance the goals and objectives of the organization.
Skill and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field.
Five years of experience in a publishing environment (print/Web) and experience copyediting scientific/technical content.
Experience in social media.
Must be an excellent writer and have excellent copyediting and editing abilities.
Some travel required.
